We're not sure what it's about, but we have confirmed that the phenomenon known as CIVIC HOLIDAY is real !

In order to study this strange occurrence, the linuxcaffe team has gone "under cover". The caffe will be closed on Sunday, too, to properly prepare for the as yet unexplained event, but we fully expect to have this, so called "holiday" problem dealt with by Tuesday, when "normal" service will be resumed.

With a surge of Nationalistic pride, and the need to plug up some holes in the dam, the beavers at linuxcaffe will be busy elsewhere (and/or flopped on a couch) and linuxcaffe will be CLOSED FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS, Monday (June 30th) and Tuesday (July 1st) and you may have to get coffee and fresh baked goods, home-made goodness and friendly help with your linux laptop, somewhere else until Wednesday. So sorry for any inconvenience, and when you return, we'll have updated plumbing, electrical and ventilation features, you shouldn't have noticed, anyways.

Labour Day should be called "no labour day", as almost nobody's working.

We'll be doing a whole lot of nothing, Sunday and Monday, as we need a break, and everyone and their dog will be doing something else that day. We hope you enjoy the weekend, too, and that you can find tolerable coffee, but come back on Tuesday.

We don't even really know what the holiday is, but gosh, darnit, we're closing on it. It's something about Caribana, and how everybody is going to be somewhere else, and at least one day off per summer is required to prevent "losing it".
