We're not sure what it's about, but we have confirmed that the phenomenon known as CIVIC HOLIDAY is real !

In order to study this strange occurrence, the linuxcaffe team has gone "under cover". The caffe will be closed on Sunday, too, to properly prepare for the as yet unexplained event, but we fully expect to have this, so called "holiday" problem dealt with by Tuesday, when "normal" service will be resumed.

Lisp (or LISP) is a family of computer programming languages with a long history and a distinctive, fully parenthesized syntax. Users of this venerable language will be gathering at linuxcaffe on Thursday (Aug 7th) to exchange ideas and hack around.

Mixxx is an open source DJ tool designed for both professional and amateur DJs alike. Mixxx allows DJs to mix music live with a clean, simple interface. Futhermore, Mixxx has a number of key features to help DJs in the mix: Beat estimation, parallel visual displays, and support for various DJ hardware controllers.

The developers of this software are getting together to celebrate first major update in more then a year.
Join them to meet, eat, and scratch out some beats to celebrate the newest release of the world's best free DJ software: Mixxx 1.6.0!

The most awesome Ardour (a linux-based Digital Audio Workstation) will be explained and demonstrated by the delightful and talented Benny Powers.
If you ever wanted to run a recording studio on your linux box, you MUST attend. The is no fee to attend, but there will be a pay-what-you-can jar, to thank Mr Powers for bringing us this amazing demo.
