May 17 - Originally from Sudbury, Ontario, and now a Toronto resident known for somewhat ridiculous stage banter and overly wordy musings about life. A music addict from a young age; a fan of genre-inappropriate cover songs and sweet high harmonies. Writes songs in anywhere from 5 minutes to 22 years. Plays a sweet cherry Takamine with slightly high action, singing songs about near-anything for your listening pleasure.
Wednesday May 21: Tim Posgate (banjo, vocals) and Johann Lotter (guitar, vocals) have lived in the neighborhood for ten years but only met recently at a party where they ended up picking bluegrass songs together until their host had to kick them out. Since then they have been getting together a semi regular basis to play, sing and teach each other new songs.

Yakoba first picked up a super-shitty green, warped-ass guitar at 18. Oddly enough, he wrote song lyrics and harmonies long before that memorable purchase. Hence, he has always considered himself more of a lyricist/singer with an educational message to convey, than a guitar virtuoso. Luckily, he kept the receipt from the warped guitar and was able to purchase 'The Traveler' - his Korean Cort Earth 100 acoustic by paying the Niagara dealer an extra 100$ CDN.

Artist name: Benjamin Raphael Reed
Genre: Absurdist Folk/Rock
Website link: www.myspace.com/dinosaurcream
About the artist: A nice young man with an endearing and flexible voice. Sings about
grasshoppers, rhinos, penises & peepees. His guitar-playing will wow
you... his keyboard-tickling will PLOW you. Childish nonsense is his
sole stylistic staple. Is especially proud of the time he opened for
Calvin Johnson at the Music Gallery.
