In mid February Dell in the United States opened a new sight called Dell Idea Storm http://www.dellideastorm.com/ The plan was to find out what new and innovative things the public wanted from this giant in the computer sales industry. It should have been simple.

The overwhelming reaction from the public however is that Dell needs to start selling Linux ready computers . Linux and Open Source software rose to the top of the list right away, users want Linux-based laptops and PCs. They want Firefox, not Internet Explorer. They are asking for Computers that have Linux pre-installed or at the least no Windows system, They are offended that they are being asked to pay for an operating system that they will not be using.

Hello everyone who reads this: I downloaded Koha, but could not extract the files because of permissions... Jamon suggests a lesson in this at the next users meeting since it's a fairly lengthy process to set up a server.
This has to do with setting up a small library of the books at the Linux caffe.
Anyone else interested? or anyone interested in introducing me to the technicalities sooner than the meeting?
